1930's style "end of day" necklace with seed beads & pink sparkle, in a shaped design. On brass & non-tarnish silver wire, endless without closure.
This series of necklaces is from a 6 month period in 2015 when I spent many nights making large, symmetrical or repetitive works - inventing ways to make very flat-laying loop joins that won’t twist or distort when wearing, and hold up weird shapes & side wings. All of the links are triple wrapped of non-tarnish silver plate wire or brass, and most of the beads are glass or non-mined material. I dipped into the best pockets of my life-long collection of beads, some of the beads in these necklaces I’ve had since I was 10 years old.
